Danny O’Donaghue.
Indie rock god.
Lady killer.
The devil with midnight hair and blue-flame eyes.

After six years I thought the pain of what he’d done to me had faded.
Guess not.
Because I’m standing in this crowded lecture hall of the most prestigious music school in Ireland, staring at the person who healed me when I was broken. Right before he shattered me beyond repair.
And I still feel everything.

My ex-best friend.
My first love.
My tormentor.

…is now my professor.

“Why do you hate me so much?” I demanded. “We used to be…friends. Best friends.”
More than friends.
I swallowed as the tender memories rose up in my mind, pricking the backs of my eyelids. “Why pick on me?”
I thought I saw a flash of pain in his eyes before it was smothered by a smirk. “I like to watch you squirm. You go all red in the face like a tomato when you get mad.”
That’s why he called me Dearg. Because of the way I blushed with my body. The way my pale skin was like a mood ring, broadcasting my anger, my embarrassment, my arousal.
“Why start that rumor?”
“Hypothetically,” he continued, “even if I was the one who started that rumor, you should be thanking me.”
“Thanking you?” My eyes almost bulged out of my head. I shoved at his chest. The asshole barely moved. I barely made a dent in his rock-hard muscles.
I was going to punch him, right there in his precious rock star junk. He better not want kids one day.
“You are fucking delusional.” I shoved him again.
This time he caught my wrist and spun me around, slamming me up against one of the lockers. The air whooshed out of me and not just because he was crushing me between the lockers and his hard body.
“Yeah, Dearg, you should be on your fucking knees thanking me with that pretty little mouth of yours around my dick.”
God. The sheer crudeness of his words. It should make me cringe. To slap him across the face. Instead, everything in my lower belly ached, my lips parted and all I could do was blink up at him.
“The pool for your v-card has been cancelled,” he continued. “That cunt will leave you alone now instead of trying like a fucking chump to pretend to be a good boyfriend while just wanting to get in your panties for money and bragging rights. So, yeah, you should be fucking thanking me.”
“You’re trying to tell me that you told everyone I was a god damn lesbian to help me?”
His lip lifted up. “Yeah. Say thank you.”
He shifted back, just an inch of space, just enough to allow him to drop his towel. He dropped it. Right in front of me. No shame.
I glanced down before I could stop myself, half mortified, half curiosity raging like a storm.
His dick was hard. Long and thick and…perfect.
“Go on, Dearg. What are you going to do with it?” he taunted in a low voice.
“I…”
Grab it.
Lick it.
Suck it.
Pull it inside me.
His arms came up beside my head and he leaned in, trapping me, his hard cock hot and hard against my belly. Dear God. I was going to combust. Or pass out from lack of oxygen.
“Or,” his lips traced my cheekbone, sending hot and cold shivers throughout my body, “maybe you really are a lesbian.”
Rage flooded over me, temporarily overriding lust. I shoved him back with both hands and he stepped back laughing.
Bastard. He didn’t want me. He was taunting me. Teasing me. Pushing me to breaking point.
He almost won.
And I almost gave in.
Stupid me, I almost gave in.

Author: K.L. Grayson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 22, 2018

Blurb

Claire Daniels is good at a lot of things, but dating isn't one of them. Although she enjoys men of all different shapes, colors, and sizes, she has one requirement: they must have a job on her approved-occupation list. It has to be safe, so they can come home every night, which means no cops, pilots, doctors, ranchers, and absolutely no firefighters.

She’s kept to her rules thus far—as long as you ignore the tiny crush she has on Trevor Allen, a crush that cannot move toward anything physical because Trevor is a firefighter and a rancher. Not to mention, he’s four years younger than she is and the brother of her two best friends.

Still, it sure would be nice to have him put out her fire.

Trevor Allen also has a few rules when it comes to Claire Daniels: no staring, flirting, smokin’ hot fantasies, or touching of any kind. He's been lusting after Claire his whole life, but with a steady stream of willing women and two demanding jobs to hold his attention, he's somehow managed to keep his hands off her.

Until they end up in a bathroom together—a small bathroom with very little room to move, leaving him pressed against Claire’s lush curves. What's he supposed to do when she looks up at him with those big, green doe eyes and licks her lips? The only thing he can do: kiss the hell out of her, then convince her it can’t happen again.

Too bad he can't convince himself.

AUSTIN

“Why am I here?” I ask, wanting to get this over with.
Cole takes the bottle from my hand and brings it to his lips, taking a big gulp. His Adam's apple working as he swallows.
I cross my arms over my chest, trying to look unaffected. But I’m having trouble breathing.
“We’ve been thinking …” he says, rubbing his chin.
“We want you to be a part of our group,” Deke finishes his sentence.
I look among the five of them and start laughing nervously. “You’re joking, right?”
“Not one bit,” Deke says, shaking his head.
“No thanks,” I say and turn to the door. I twist the handle and start to pull it open, but a hand slaps on the door above my head, holding it shut.
I jump back to look at Cole. He leans against it casually, getting comfortable and blocking my only exit. “It wasn’t an offer, Austin.”
My eyes narrow on him. “What makes you think I want anything to do with you guys?”
“Deke,” Cole says, lifting the bottle to his lips again.
I spin around to see Deke step up to us, his phone in his hand facing Cole and me. A video plays, and it’s of me driving Cole’s car away from the warehouse after he stole the red car.
“How did you get that?” I demand.
He just chuckles, placing the phone in his pocket. “I don’t kiss and tell, baby.”
My eyes narrow on him calling me baby. I turn back to face Cole. “You’re blackmailing me. Again.”
He shrugs carelessly. “You can call it whatever you want.”
“I’m calling it what it is,” I snap. “You know damn well that I had no idea what you had planned.”
He pushes off the wall and leans down, his face inches from mine. I can smell the cinnamon on his lips and can’t help the shudder that runs through me. “I dare you to prove it.”
“You son of a—”
“In order to join,” Deke interrupts me, “you have to pass a test.” He crosses his arms over his broad chest.
“I’m not interested …”
“Initiation,” he corrects himself.
“I don’t want to be involved with whatever fucked-up shit you guys are in.” How many different ways do I have to say it?
“Let her out,” Kellan says, but no one listens to him.
Deke continues. “You have to fuck one of us while we all watch.”
My heart starts to pound at his words. And my eyes widen when he takes a step toward me.
This is a joke. It has to be.
He arches a brow in challenge when I just stand there staring at him. “You want me, baby? I’m ready.” He licks his lips as his blue eyes settle on my legs. Then he reaches down to his jeans and unbuttons them.
He’s serious! My eyes immediately shoot to Cole.
His eyes hold their usual anger as they glare down at me, but a slow, devious smile spreads across his face, and the guys start laughing. “Well, there’s your answer, man,” one of them calls out from behind me.
My jaw tightens. “I don’t want to …”
“Leave us,” Cole orders, interrupting me. And like the trained sheep they are, they all walk out. I can still hear their laughter as they walk down the hall, the door slowly shutting behind them.
I plop down on one of the lounge chairs, trying to slow my racing heart. “You can’t force my hand, Cole. Not with this.”
He walks over to where I sit. Reaching out, he runs his busted knuckles along my cheek. I swat his hand away, afraid of what will come out of my mouth if he touches me.
His hand grips my hair and yanks me to stand. I cry out as he shoves my back
against the closed door. He towers over me, pushing his body into mine. I’m panting while he holds me still. He dips his head to whisper in my ear. “Are you a virgin, Austin?”
“No,” I growl. My hands come up to push him off me, but he grabs them and pins them above my head. I whimper, and my thighs tighten.
“That’s a shame.” He sighs, and his breath skims across my skin making me shudder. “I like to take pretty, innocent things and destroy them.”
“You’re sick,” I say, panting.
He chuckles but doesn’t deny it. “But that doesn’t make you want me any less. I saw the way you stared at me in the car. The way you licked your lips when I thought about kissing you. The way you whispered my name. How you stared at me when I got out of the pool. And let’s not forget the way you allowed me to touch you last night. Tell me, were you disappointed when I didn’t throw you on the bed and fuck you right then?” I moan. “I bet you’re wet right now.”
“Cole,” I growl his name, not wanting him to see how right he is.
But he ignores my warning. “You wore red for me again, sweetheart. You wanted my attention, and you got it. Now what are you gonna do with it?”

“You can bathe first if you like,” she replied, as she sat back down on the rocking chair. “Then we can rinse out the tub and fill it again. I’ll wait.”
He chuckled. “No, I meant that you can use the water first and then I’ll use the same water next. That is, unless you’d like to bathe after me.”
Gabriella looked at him appalled, and quickly shook her head. “No, thank you. That’s fine.” Then she walked into the utility room and closed the door behind her.
Dirk smiled as he shook his head, and then walked over to the stove to check the last two buckets of water. In a short while, he checked it and the water was warm, so he picked them up and went to the utility room.
Dirk walked in without thinking. He kept his head down as he carried the water, not noticing that she was already in the tub.
“What are you doing?” Gabriella shrieked, quickly grabbing one of the towels to cover herself. “Get out!”
Dirk looked up, startled. “What are you doing?” he asked, looking only at her eyes. “I told you the water was almost ready. Not that it was!”
She looked around, flustered. “I only heard that the water was ready. Now, get out.”
He held up the two buckets with ease. “I was just bringing in the last two buckets of warm water—”
“I said get out. Now!” she screamed, trying desperately to cover herself the best she could with the towel. “Never mind the buckets. Get out.”
A devilish smile spread across his lips as he raised one eyebrow. “Oh? You want me to leave the buckets?”
“Yes, and get out.”
“As you wish, your highness.” A smirk appeared on his face as he walked over to the tub and poured one of the buckets over her head.
She gasped and flailed her arms as the warm water rushed over her, looking like a drowned rat. “What did you do to me? Get out!”
He laughed. “You asked for it.” He poured the second bucket of warm water over her head as she flailed her arms, gasping. Then he carried both buckets to the door and turned around. “You know, it didn’t have to be this way. As he walked out, he shut the door behind him, chuckling to himself.
Vous ĂȘtes une brute sauvage! Gabriella shouted, and then something hit the other side of the door and crashed loudly to the floor.
